Security in the new normal: security issues related to the pandemic
In this presentation we will discuss our ongoing collaboration efforts over the past 12 to 18 months, spanning the duration of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Our talk will use GhostDNS, a threat which targets SOHO routers, as an example of how we have observed these types of threats expand as employees have moved to home working. We will discuss how our skill sets and access to data have complimented each other, and allowed us to develop insights into other threats such as MoqHao. Finally we will explain how we have interfaced with CSIRT/CERT teams in Brazil and Japan in order to provide intelligence, and highlight the importance of these relationships.
