Why is it getting harder to train the cybersecurity workforce?

As we enter the era of the 4th Revolution, cybersecurity is becoming more important than ever.

For example, in the European Union, the regulations on automotive cybersecurity will be mandatory for all new vehicles produced from July 2024. And the U.S. Department of Defense has been developing various policies aimed at hardening the cybersecurity for its weapon systems.

As the importance of cybersecurity spreads across all areas, security experts are forced to have more in-depth domain knowledge than ever before.

In this talk, I would like to point out the problems of the current training system and discuss a more effective workforce development program to train security experts specialized in each industrial sector.
